SEND Manager and Pastoral Worker
Grade F (pts 17-22)
Fixed Term Contract (Reviewed at end of Academic Year 2019), 18 hours per week initially, term time only. Hours to be reviewed after 3 months probationary period.

St Dominic’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to employ a SEND manager with pastoral support work to assist the Head-teacher as SENDCO in the school and provide support to support the well-being of children and their families.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, child-friendly and dedicated to helping breakdown barriers to successful learning. Ideally they will have had previous experience of working with children and families. They will have secure computer skills and will hold NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher and have knowledge of child protection and safeguarding issues.
The role will involve working closely with the head-teacher to support the needs of SEN and Vulnerable children and their families at our small, village school. This role will be varied and presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
This is a temporary fixed term contract (To be reassessed at the end of the Academic Year) for 18 hours initially, however this will be reviewed after 3 months’ probation
They should be able to demonstrate the following skills and personal qualities:
. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
. Self-motivation, enthusiasm and flexibility to work independently and as
part of the team
. Able to lead by example, modelling our Christian values to others . Classroom Experience working across the primary age range.
